Keep in mind that I’d like to keep the clutter to a minimum. That said, here’s what I think of your suggestions.
The Event Calendar might be handy for RPGs and other things.
I’m not a big fan of the Polls for Posts thing. I don’t know, while we had polls in the past, there’s so few of us on the site that the results are never anything really exciting. I also find them to be kind of cheesy.
I actually considered a Flickr RSS feed, but I don’t really have any pictures to link it up to. That said, I know that you do and I know that Neil (Dalgleish) is into picture taking nowadays, so I suppose we could add that.
Like I said though, I want to keep the clutter to a minimum.

I understand; The KISS principle still applies. At the same time there are so many amazing plugins.
The Calendar was on top of my list. RPGS, Birth dates, Concerts, Visits/Trips and a plethora of other things to keep track of.

Yeah, I’d say that the event calendar could be really useful for gaming dates and stuff. The Poll and Flickr plugins just seem like clutter to me, though.
