After nearly a decade of being dead in the water, the old Montreal RPG Hub has risen from the ashes to become the RPG Hub! The site is still growing in features, and it might look a little rough around the edges, but the ball is rolling and things are happening *snaps fingers in the air*.
If you’d like to be an author, let me know. Furthermore, if you’d simply like to be a moderator (comments, forums), let me know. Otherwise, you’re free to create your own account and join in the community like any other.
This site is still for personal things, crazy stuff we find on the internet, and for video games and technology. The Hub is for RPGs, Board Games, etc.
So, Amanda and I are thinking it might be fun to go to FanExpo this year. The convention is like a celebration of all our geeky interests in one big place. Comics, Sci-fi, Anime, Gaming, and Horror all rolled into one. The event is in downtown Toronto on the 28th of August to the 30th. Tickets are between $10 and $75, depending on which package you get. Bring your wives, your girlfriends, your friends, whoever you want! When we know who’s coming, we can sort out the details of meeting near the convention centre and going in together, or whatever works best for everyone. Let me know if you’re interested!
Well I think this is official as we have ever gotten on a road trip like this. But here is graphical evidence that we are indeed going. Now please note for everyone else interested, you can go to the PAX East site and do pre registration. You have the option of having your badges sent to you via FED Ex (which I did). I bought these now as I owed Curt from awhile back so rather then get lost in translation now it’s fucking booked! Oh yeah!
James Rolfe, the Angry Video Game Nerd, has started a new series called Board James. What’s first on the chopping block? DragonStrike. Basically Hero Quest, but based loosely on D&D and made by TSR. And it came with a super cheesy VHS tape.

Neil : The reason I didn't see your skype message was cause it didn't open a window when you messages me. It also didn't drop it to the task bar and flash like it used to. Only indication I had was when I opened skype this morning and I saw an orangy yellow exclamation mark on a skype symbol... Bah. Next time!!!
Curt : I messaged you at 10pm cause Steam and Skype both said you were no longer away from the computer and Chris was playing L4D2. It's okay though, I figured it was a bit late by then, and I had other stuff I needed to do anyway.
Neil : Oh shoot, for some reason my skype never showed me any indication you messaged me after 8!...doh. I was sitting like 5 feet away from my computer most of the evening...

Neil : Hehe yeah, man I had totally forgotten that part. I had lent my copy to Shaun. I was at the end right before kefka. His brother erased my save or something by accident, so Shaun powered his way through the game for me and got me back to where I was.
Curt : I got to Kefka before, but I needed to level up and lost interest with all the grinding. I was at your place when Shaun beat the game, so I saw the ending before, so I didn't really need to finish it myself. Still, it's nice to be able to mark it as completed.
Neil : Woot! I could have sworn you finished it before. Glad you finally went back to show Kefka who's boss!
Carl : Grats on the win. It's an awesome game.
Curt : After nearly 15 years of not playing it, I have finished Final Fantasy 3 (VI)!
Curt : Stalker is $2, Torchlight is $5, and L4D2 is $33 on Steam today!!! It's the last day of the big sale!
