Here’s a cool steampunk-ish video from the Raveonettes for today’s Monday Music Video. The guitar at the beginning reminds me of Lateralus by Tool, a bit.

Drive-by Truckers – Working this Job
Bleh, back to work after a nice week off. Here’s a song that fits that theme for today’s Monday Music Video. Of course, I don’t hate my job as much as this guy, I actually quite like mine! But after a week off, almost nobody really wants to go back, do they?
Young Rival – Your Island
St. Vincent – Laughing with a Mouth of Blood
Here’s the Monday Music Video for this week, folks. It’s a bit of a strange video, and it takes almost two minutes to get to the actual music, but it’s still good stuff. Fred Armisen, from Saturday Night Live, is in it as well.
Minus the Bear – My Time
Here’s a fun little video by Minus the Bear for this week’s Monday Music Video. Hope everyone likes it!
Holy Fuck – Latin America
No, I’m not just swearing for the fun of it. The band name is Holy Fuck, and they’re an electronica band from Toronto. The song is very cool and energetic, and the video has a nice summery vibe, which I think is quite appropriate for this week’s Monday Music Video given the weather we’ve been having lately. Enjoy!
Local Natives – World News
And it’s somehow Monday again. I don’t know how this keeps happening, but here’s a Music Video to make it hurt less.
Conan the Barbarian: The Musical
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – The Mighty Sparrow
For this week’s Monday Music Video, I’ve got a fun little song by Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. Enjoy!
Aloe Blacc & The Grand Scheme – Billie Jean
Tunng – Hustle
For this week’s Monday Music Video we’ve got a beautiful little song by a “folktronica” band called Tunng. It’s getting a bit hard to keep track of all these different music genres, these days!
It Ain’t My Fault
Mos Def, Lenny Kravitz, Tim Robbins, Trombone Shorty, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band put together this song to benefit the Gulf Coast cleanup efforts.
Four Chords
The National – Bloodbuzz Ohio
For your Monday Music Video this week I bring you a great single from The National. The video itself is the height of simplicity, but it’s still very effective and cool. Enjoy!
The Spirit of Keith Moon
Tame Impala – Solitude is Bliss
I heard a Tame Impala song on the radio this morning and figured I’d share it for the Monday Music Video, this week. It’s kind of a nutty video, but the song is awesome. Enjoy!
Dan Mangan – Robots
While I’m preferring Pitchfork for the Monday Music Videos, sometimes there’s a video that I can’t get there, but can on YouTube. This is just such a video, and is far too awesome not to share.
Apples in Stereo – Dance Floor
Here’s something fun for this Victoria Day Monday Music Video. Also, as an aside, I’m going to embed a lot of my videos from Pitchfork from now on, as they allow embedding and they’ve got a ton of music videos (obviously).
Architecture in Helsinki – Do the Whirlwind
I almost forgot to post this week’s Monday Music Video (it’s been a busy Monday!), so here you go!
Richard Swift – Lady Luck
Here you go, folks, it’s the Monday Music Video for this week!
Jay Sparrow – Lay Yr Mountain Down
Here’s a new one for this week’s Monday Music Video. When I went to find the video, I mistakenly searched for the title with the word “your”, but apparently the official title is “lay yr mountain down”. You learn something new every day. Enjoy!
The Antlers – Two
For this week’s Monday Music Video, we’ve got a beautiful song by the Antlers from their album Hospice. The album follows one narrative throughout, much like the Decemberists’ album The Hazards of Love. Instead of being about shape-shifters and bargains with forest queens, this one’s simply about two people: “An abusive bone cancer patient on her hospital death bed and a committed nurse who becomes attached and falls deeply in love, despite impending tragedy.”
The Shins – Australia
There’s not much to say about the Shins, other than the fact that they’re this week’s Monday Music Video. You may have also noticed that the lead singer is one half of Broken Bells. It’s a cute little video for a fun song. What more could you ask for on a Monday?
The Black Keys – Tighten Up
The Go Find – It’s Automatic
Here’s a fun little video from The Go Find for the Monday Music Video. I’ve noticed a very common thread in videos these days is to make it as low-tech as possible. Of course, I don’t think anything will beat the Eels at that.
